Wadi Rum

This past weekend I went to Wadi Rum and Petra with the ISA group. Due to all of the fabulous pictures I took I will do two posts. Anyways, Wadi Rum was so amazing! Even though the weather was very hot and I got sand in places I didn't even know existed on my body, the weekend was stocked full of crazy adventures! We rode camels, slept in the dessert, climbed mountains, had a driver chase after us in the dark and a lot of other interesting things! I'm not going to write much because I figure pictures are much better than me rambling on so here we go...

 Wadi Rum!

The Bedouins lived in the mountain?

 More of the camp...

 I loved riding the camel!

So our dinner was cooked under the sand...

 It was so beyond good!

Of course shisha at the bonfire

 Bedouin tea!! So yummy!

Most of the group decided to pull our mattresses out of the tents to sleep under the stars...it was so awesome!

The next morning we went into the dessert on the back of trucks!
It was pretty bumpy, but we all had a great time!

Riding in the truck!

The sand dune most of us climbed up

Heading up...

It was a struggle...

Anndrea and Yen decided to take a break at the bottom...

Leah and I at the top! So sweaty, but it was worth it!

The adorable doggy that followed our truck out of the camp. I wanted to take him home so badly!

Yes, I brought my famous stuffed puppy to the dessert. He loved it ;)

Wadi Rum was such a great experience. My mom used to tell me stories about camping in the dessert and now I got to experience it myself! I would for sure do this again, hopefully I can before I leave Jordan!
My next post will be about Petra, but its currently 1:15 am and I have class at 8 so I'll be posting that tomorrow!
